The standard was developed to assist retailers & supplier to meet the legal obligation, industries safety & protect consumer for supplying retailer branded food product. This best practice been implemented as part of the food chain globally where fundamental standard & due diligence is required. Technical audit of supplying company’s production premises only form part of the customer’s due diligence system & the acceptance for a company to supply rest with the individual customer. Within reference to the standard, the Quality management system, factory environment standard, process control, product control & resource control shall need to be effectively implemented from top management to operator level.

With the new certification grading policy, the frequency of the audit shall be according to the extent of the severity indicated in the report.
